How It's Made
Six stages, all under one roof. Nothing is cut until you approve the 3D model or maquette.
We can customize it based on whether you're sending drawings, renderings, hand-drawn sketches, etc.
First, create a 3D model, then use a computer to carve a 1:1 foam model based on the 3D design.
Divide the foam sculpture into sections, then cut the 304/316 stainless steel sheets into blocks of the same size.
After repeatedly hammering the small steel plates into shape, they are welded together to form a sculpture.
After the weld is ground, the surface can undergo further finishing processes, such as mirror polishing or coloring.
PVD finish, then crated and installed.

Material Truth
Much of what is sold cheaply is thin plated or painted carbon steel that rusts and fades. Wensculp fabricates 304 or 316 stainless throughout.

For ultra-large-scale outdoor commissions, Wensculp utilizes sectional fabrication followed by seamless on-site assembly, welding, and grinding to ensure joints are perfectly integrated into the overall form. Prior to production, we conduct rigorous wind and structural load assessments to engineer a reinforced internal framework.
