Thematic Concept: “Leaping Fish in the Water Country” – A signature thematic landscape sculpture.
Sculptural Composition & Structure
The installation is architecturally divided into two primary components: the aqueous wave pedestal and the ascending school of fish.
Tiered Wave-Motif Pedestal:
The base features a multi-layered, three-dimensional arrangement of curled blue waves. The contours are robust and fluid, masterfully replicating the rhythmic surging currents of Huangshihai Lake.
Ascending Fish Centerpiece:
A multitude of vibrant red sculptural fish spiral upwards along the wave crests, converging into a high-impact dynamic of leaping motion. This vertical extension radiates a powerful sense of kinetic energy and vitality, creating a bold visual statement.
Design Philosophy & Symbolic Narrative
Regional Resonance & Heritage:
The sculpture integrates rhythmic wave and fish motifs to establish a toponymic resonance with the name “Huangshihai” (Yellow Lion Sea). It serves as a visual celebration of the local waterfront heritage and the historic identity of a community living in harmony with the lake.
Auspicious Metaphors & Prosperity :
In Chinese tradition, the “Fish” is homophonic with “Surplus,” symbolizing perpetual abundance and a life of plenty. The ascending, leaping trajectory of the school of fish serves as a powerful metaphor for upward mobility and the flourishing well-being of the residential community.
Strategic Chromatic Design:
The vibrant red and blue contrast creates a high-impact, modern visual aesthetic. This lively and approachable color palette is meticulously curated to align with the tranquil and leisurely ambiance of a premium residential environment, fostering a sense of peace and vitality.
