Masterpiece Title: High Mountains and Flowing Water
Location: Gateway Landmark of the Sino-French Wuhan Ecological Demonstration City, situated at the bridgehead of the Sino-French Friendship Bridge, Caidian District, Wuhan.
Scale: 10-meter Monumental Outdoor Urban Sculpture.
Medium & Craftsmanship: Dual-color composite forging utilizing high-grade forged mirror-polished stainless steel and red copper.
Architectural Pedestal: A square pedestal constructed from deep red granite, featuring gold-inlaid typography of the inscription “Sino-French Friendship Bridge” and its French translation, Le Pont de l’amitié franco-chinoise.
Strategic Positioning: A definitive Sino-French cultural landmark and the primary urban icon for Wuhan’s “Zhiyin” (Soulmate) culture.

Tiered Design Hierarchy

The sculpture features a sophisticated tri-layered abstract composition:

Upper Tier: Mountainous Silhouette (Mirror-Polished Stainless Steel)

Utilizing hollow-out, streamlined contours to delineate an undulating mountain range. These clean, modernist lines leverage the high reflectivity of mirror-finished stainless steel to capture the sky and surrounding landscape, creating an ethereal and transparent visual presence.

Middle Tier: Guqin Iconography (Artisanal Forged Red Copper)

A horizontal manifestation of the Guqin (ancient Chinese zither) spans the mountain forms. Fabricated from warm-toned forged red copper, the design features rhythmic striations representing the seven strings—a direct homage to the “Zhiyin” (Soulmate) cultural archetype.

Lower Tier: Rhythmic Aqueous Motifs (Forged Textured Stainless Steel)

Cascading, sinuous curves are masterfully engineered to simulate the fluidity of river currents. Our artisans utilize specialized curved-surface forging to create natural undulating textures, symbolizing the eternal flow of the Han River and the enduring bonds of profound friendship.

Fabrication & Engineering Protocols

Manufacturing Technique: Modular Sectional Forging & Integration

In-House Component Fabrication: Stainless steel and red copper elements are individually forged within our facility. (The images on the right illustrate the actual workshop fabrication and structural dry-fitting stages.)

On-Site Integration & Refinement: Modular units are transported to the bridgehead project site for high-precision welding, followed by meticulous seamless grinding and multi-stage polishing to ensure a monolithic finish.

Hoisting, Anchoring & Preservation: The completed monument is hoisted and securely anchored onto a reinforced granite pedestal. The process concludes with specialized anti-corrosion and weathering encapsulation, engineered for maximum environmental resilience in long-term roadside exposure.

Design Philosophy & Cultural Symbolism

As a pivotal landmark of the Sino-French Wuhan Ecological Demonstration City, this sculpture masterfully extends the traditional Chinese concept of “Zhiyin” (Kindred Spirits) into the realm of international cultural diplomacy between China and France:

Eastern Heritage: The integration of Guqin (ancient zither) and Shanshui (mountain-water) motifs serves as a profound embodiment of classical Chinese aesthetic philosophy.

Modernist Convergence: The contemporary abstract silhouettes and minimalist metal artistry resonate with French modernist sensibilities, creating a visual bridge between two distinct artistic traditions.

Strategic Symbolism: The “Zhiyin” concept signifies that China and France are kindred civilizations, symbolizing their profound strategic collaboration in ecological preservation, cultural exchange, and sustainable urban development. This thematic core perfectly echoes the nomenclature of the Sino-French Friendship Bridge (Le Pont de l’amitié franco-chinoise).
